Hailing from the San Fernando Valley, HAIM consists of ‘three sisters and a mister’. The sisters – Este, Danielle and Alana – grew up playing classic rock songs with their parents in a family band called Rockinhaim. After years of playing with their parents the girls decided to strike out on their own and began writing their own material.
In 2012 HAIM released a three song EP titled ‘Forever’ and spent the year pursued by a surge of industry attention. Their incredible live appearances at Austin’s SXSW and Brighton’s Great Escape only intensified the excitement around the band’s addictive, percussive songs. More than anything, HAIM are excited to make music that is making both them and their audience flush with happiness. The band toured the UK, supporting Florence & The Machine and Mumford & Sons and impressively went on to win the BBC’s Sound of 2013 Poll. The BBC stated, “HAIM have an unapologetic passion for music that shines in their songs. They’re brilliant musicians who have a real talent for tunes that merge their tales of growing up in the 21st Century with a classic songwriting ability.”BLOG UPDATES
