THE BLACK CROWES
Thursday, July 21, 2022
The Black Crowes are an American rock band, formed by brothers Chris and Rich Robinson in 1984, out of Marietta, Georgia. Their musical journey is full of many familiar characteristics that make up that of any rock ‘n’ roll band: record deals gone bad, band break ups and make ups, sibling feuding, addiction, sold out tours, selling millions of records while releasing eight studio albums.
Dubbed by The Melody Maker as “The Most Rock ‘n’ Roll Rock ‘n’ Roll Band in the World”, The Black Crowes can be described as gritty blues-rock, southern rock and hard rock.
The band split in 2015 over disagreements in ownership of the band. Later shocking fans in 2019 with an announcement of the reunion of Chris and Rich (the only remaining original members of the band) with plans of touring as The Black Crowes again.
Due to the coronavirus, the reunion and 30th anniversary tour of their famously gritty-blues, quintuple platinum album, “Shake Your Money Maker” was postponed until the tour got underway in 2021. Join the celebration of their debut studio album this summer in Bend!
