Canadian singer, songwriter and piantist, Sarah McLachlan made her debut to the world in 1988, with and with her folk-pop songs and debut album, Touch. She has sold over 40 million albums worldwide. Her best-selling album, Surfacing, which won her two Grammy Awards and four June Awards. Surfacing included hit singles, “Building a Mystery”, “Adia”, and “Angel”, which all charted on the Billboard Hot 100 with two of them becoming McLachlan’s first top ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100. 1998 was an incredible year for McLachlan as she won Female Vocalist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Single of the Year for “Building a Mystery”. and Album of the Year for Surfacing. In addition to her prolific musical career, she is the fonder of Lilith Fair and her charitable endeavor, The Sarah McLachlan School of Music, which provides free music lessons to kids in Vancouver.
The Indigo Girls join Sarah McLachlan at the amphitheater for an evening of feel-good rhythms by some of the best female singer songwriters that emerged in the ‘90’s.
